Kubrick 2

Well I took the plunge and chucked in kubrick 2. If there are any problems please let me know, this is the beta one version. So far all the problems I’ve seen are on the admin side and few and far between…

I think it looks great.

Addendum: I’ve changed (hacked?) the defaul page to allow comments to be more like my last site.

States Revisited

I’ve decided that the keyword ‘delegate’ wasn’t needed. It can be just just a normal class (properties, methods etc.) and acts as the default state. States use a class as a basis and can’t have any properties. I think :default goes back to the default state… or the name of the class… mmm. The class name sounds good.

Content Management System

While we are still working on our php system we aren’t adding any new features because we want to get it finished and out the door. This said I’ve started a list of the features that we want in version 2.0.

  • Templates
  • Sub-modules (more dynamic moduleloader)
  • Blog module
  • RSS for content and blog

I’m salivating already.

I think I’m going to write a recursive-decent-parser for voodoo; flex and bison would need a hefty kick in the pants to work with a tab-blocked language.

Settled in

We have finally settled into the new server. Alex has just finished a multi-day marathon getting gd working. In the process we are now running newer versions of apache and php.

If you think Linux is hard… try a Unix flavour running in a jail shell across a slow ssh connection.

I spent the day working on various web things.

Toasting Wordpress

Just made myself more comfortable in wordpress - transfered over most of the information from my old site.

I probably shouldn’t be doing this - we are working on a complete content management system ourselves which is going to be really cool (really).

Anyway… I’ve got a report to do for Games Studies.
