I’ve re-discovered root beer with the help of Adam.

There is a narrow shop beside pizza hut near a roundabout on Grey Street in Hamilton that will sell you a tray of 24 for around $30 if they have any in stock. Please don’t buy them all.

Root beer tastes great as a Spider (or Ice Cream Soda). It is known as a sarsparilla spider.

Ingredients may include allspice, birch bark, coriander, juniper, ginger, wintergreen, hops, burdock root, dandelion root, spikenard, pipsissewa, guaiacum, yellow dock, honey, clover, cinnamon, prickly ash bark, quillaia, and yucca.

It’s an acquired taste and not enjoyable for everyone.
