Cool, thanks for the support. I'm still not entirely sure it's for the best, but I'm enjoying it and that's all that really matters.

Currently I'm designing a database, which is fun.

wow, cool stuff :)

I think it's a very wise choice, check out how you like the workplace, live some real life experience...

Personally I kept on studying (economics) like a train, graduated, took a masters, then applied for doctorates in the US, got in, passed the first year then, totally burned ouy, finally realized that it was something I didn't enjoy at all. I just went on carried by inertia, I'm really glad I found the strength to quit.

So yeah, I think it's a great move :)

Yeah I know that it's often very hard to go back, but I have 3 years invested into my degree with only a year and a bit to finish it off... I'm definitely going back. Also part of my accepting the job was that I'm going back to uni in a couple of years, so my employer knows.

I hadn't touched C# or VB, but they aren't terribly hard to pick up. C# is a cleaner C++ anyway so it makes more sense and is easy to learn. It's just the api's and methodologies that I have to pick up.

I'm getting great experience as well.
